The current goal of Russian agents is to kill the wedge between the political and military leadership of Ukraine, as well as incite anti-government sentiments in the population, the NSDC Secretary said.
The aggressor country Russia has activated a network of spies in Ukraine. The Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine, Alexey Danilov, said this in an interview with The Times, quoted by Radio Liberty on Monday, November 27.
According to him, the current goal of Russian agents is “to provoke between the political and military leadership of Ukraine, as well as to incite anti-government sentiments among the population.”
Danilov noted that Russia is trying to take advantage of the “so-called tension” between President Vladimir Zelensky and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.
The NSDC Secretary also added that Russia is trying to “spread disinformation and propaganda to destabilize the situation in Ukraine.”
In turn, Ukrainskaya Pravda published an important clarification: “Radio Liberty wrote that the Russian Federation activated spies in the SBU, but Danilov explained that the Times did not understand him, and that the SBU is “actively working on spies.”
Earlier, President Vladimir Zelensky warned about Russia’s disinformation plan called “Maidan-3.” According to him, the enemy seeks to sow division in Ukrainian society, creating “chaos” within the country and, finally, removing the current leadership of the state.
