The heads of the defense departments of Ukraine and the United States discussed the latest events in Ukraine and priorities for security assistance.
United States Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on Saturday, November 25, discussed Russian missile and drone attacks by phone with Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov. This was reported by the Pentagon press service.
“Austin condemned Russia’s continued bombardment of Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure with missiles and unmanned aerial systems. They also discussed aid priorities as Ukraine continues to fight Russian aggression,” said statement.
It was noted that both leaders pledged to maintain close ties.
As reported, last night the Russians attacked Ukraine with 75 kamikaze drones, which is a record number since the beginning of the war. The Air Force first reported the elimination of 71 drones, but then clarified that they shot down 74, that is, almost all UAVs.
