Deputy Minister of Infrastructure Sergei Derkach announced this on November 23.
We have begun collecting data to evacuate our drivers. Now our drivers, in sub-zero temperatures, are suffering from the actions of several people who blocked the border with the consent of local authorities. We raised the issue several times at the working and official levels of food, the duty of fast vehicles, fire trucks, proper sanitary conditions – all this does not exist,” Derkach said.
The Ministry is ready to take out everyone who expresses such a desire.
Derkach also said that Ukraine is initiating the creation of a monitoring group on the border of the European Union.
We invite our European colleagues to officially record the situation that is happening in front of the checkpoints. Are dangerous goods being allowed through, how is humanitarian aid crossing the border, and most importantly, what conditions have our drivers been in for more than two weeks,” he wrote.
On Thursday, Polish farmers blocked another checkpoint – in Meditsa.
Another checkpoint on the border with Poland is under threat of blockade – Nizhankovichi – Malchowice. This is the area south of Medika in Ukraine and Przemysl in Poland.
