Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis called it “ridiculous” that “the DPRK helps the Russian Federation more than the European Union helps Ukraine.”
Ukraine is in danger of being dragged into peace talks with Russia because it is not being supplied with enough weapons and ammunition that its allies need to win the war. This is what Lithuanian Foreign Minister Gabrielius Landsbergis said, Bloomberg reports.
Kiev’s lack of missile systems and ammunition, as well as the months-long decision-making process in the European Union, could leave Ukraine in a position where it has no choice but to sue for peace.
“This is not the choice of Ukraine. The Ukraine that we know, and the Ukraine that we will help as long as we breathe, will never choose negotiations with terrorists. But the truth can be like this,” said the minister.
He also criticized Pyongyang’s supplies to Moscow in recent weeks.
“It seems funny when we see that North Korea is helping Russia than the European Union is helping Ukraine,” Landsbergis said.
As already written, Lithuania transferred NASAMS missile launchers and the necessary equipment for them to Ukraine.
In addition, in September, Lithuania sent 4.5 million units of ammunition to Ukraine.
