Russian media reported this today, November 23, in the morning.
Previously, the Russian Ministry of Defense stated that on November 22, the Ukrainian military attacked with a drone a group of Russian journalists who were “preparing material about the shelling of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in populated areas of the Zaporozhye region.” It was noted that Maksudov then received debris injuries and “was promptly evacuated to a medical facility.” It was stated that “there is no threat to his life.”
Maksudov has been covering Russian aggression since the early days of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. In particular, last year he actually became a fire spotter for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, filming a story from the temporarily occupied Shakhtersk, where he showed several fuel tanks that had survived a large-scale fire the day before. This information then helped to deliver another precise strike.
