Five workers were injured in a mine collapse in the Eti Bakır mining area. Three of them died.

In the Shirvan district of Siirt province in southeastern Turkey, on the night of November 23, a collapse occurred in a copper mine. Three workers died and two others were injured. This was said by the Governor of Siirt Province, Kemal Kizilkaya.

“Five workers were injured in a mine collapse at the mining site of the Eti Bakır company. Two of the five workers received minor injuries, but, unfortunately, the remaining three died,” the official said.

According to him, necessary precautions have been taken in the mining area and there is no danger now. The condition of the workers who survived the collapse is satisfactory.

Let’s recall that in Kazakhstan, in the Karaganda region, a methane explosion occurred at the Kostenko mine, killing more than 20 miners.

A collapse was also reported at the Ternovskaya mine in Krivoy Rog, killing a 43-year-old man.
