The Ukrainian group Antitela got into a strong scandal because of their refusal to use the song Fortetsya Bakhmut to a fighter who lost his sight.
In particular, defender Vitaly Veres decided to use this hit for his biographical video. He chose this particular song because it was symbolic for him, because of the heavy fighting near Bakhmut in which the man was seriously wounded.
“I want to share a situation that really shocked me. We were inspired to create a video about the most important battle in my life – the battle of Bakhmut. About how I was wounded, and about my further history and path. In search of music, we settled on the composition of the group ” Antibodies” “Fortetsya Bakhmut”. Which, in my personal opinion, fits this story perfectly. Writing to Sergey Vusik, co-founder of the group Antibodies, about permission to use this track in our video, I received a stunning response: “With what joy we have to do this and give you permission to post, show our songs?” said the Ukrainian defender.
In his letter, the soldier explained who he was and why he made such a request, but in response to the request he received the message: “There are thousands of us. And we ourselves are no exception. How does this relate to the song , and so we can still celebrate you?”

Over time, the group’s co-founder, Sergei Vusik, published a post on his Instagram page in which he admitted his guilt, saying that he did not understand the situation.
“I admit that I was wrong. I did not want to offend or embarrass the military. Yes, I did not understand and did not deepen who I was talking to, and because of the heavy schedule and aggression in the comments under the video or in personal messages, piling bots and other various personalities… He answered quite sharply. Moreover, from the first day of publication, the song “Fortetsya Bakhmut” was made freely available for use by there are no prohibitions. Which is easy to check. And what exactly surprised me in Vitaly’s message, who wanted to be tagged. But I didn’t understand. I apologize for my reaction,” he said.
