The US Department of Defense positively assesses the use of American weapons by the Ukrainian military. Deputy Representative of the US Department of Defense, Sabrina Singh, said this in a briefing on Tuesday, November 21.
“We are very confident in the assistance and capabilities that we have provided to Ukraine. And you see them using them effectively on the battlefield,” Singh said.
Singh mentioned in particular the successful use of the HIMARS missile system in Ukraine, as well as the Western-style air defense system.
“So, we are very confident in what we have given Ukraine to achieve progress on the battlefield,” the Pentagon spokesman said.
In addition, Singh expressed concern that Iran was preparing to supply Russia with ballistic missiles for the war against Ukraine. At the same time, he said that the United States does not yet have evidence that such a transfer has occurred.
The new US aid package for Ukraine, announced by the Pentagon on Monday, November 20, is designed for the immediate needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the battlefield.
