No one understands more than the Poles what a huge price must be paid for freedom and independence, the Polish leader stressed.
Polish President Andrzej Duda, in his video message on the occasion of the tenth anniversary of the Revolution of Dignity on Tuesday, November 21, assured that his country will help Ukraine in the fight against the aggressor.
“This is still the case today. Poland was the first country that, after the start of the Russian aggression, called for the immediate granting of EU candidate status to Ukraine. A few days ago, the European Commission recommended the start of the accession negotiations. This is a great success, for which I congratulate you, but it is also a big challenge. I want to assure you that Poland will stand by you and support you in the fight against the aggressor,” said of the Polish leader.
He emphasized that the Poles fully understand what price they have to pay for freedom and independence, and therefore they will do everything to ensure that Ukraine defeats the aggressor.
Duda emphasized that Poland will help Ukraine towards the EU and NATO, as it wants to see it “in our European family as soon as possible.”
“A free and independent Ukraine, as well as good and respectful cooperation between our citizens, is very important to me and my compatriots. I believe that we will continue to develop them in this spirit,” added Duda .
