On February 24, 2022, the invaders, who launched an offensive from Crimea and captured Melitopol, quickly occupied Tokmak.
In Tokmak, Zaporozhye region, Russian occupiers are taking over apartments abandoned by their owners. Moreover, they are exclusively looking for heated housing to accommodate Russian Armed Forces personnel. The Center for National Resistance reported this on Tuesday, November 21.
As the Central Tax Service points out, local utility workers who work with squatters help them find warm apartments.
“The occupiers involve local utility workers in this process. They give the occupiers lists of apartments where there have been no homeowners for a long time, but the apartments themselves are connected to the heating network. It was in such apartments that enemy personnel lived. ,” the Center pointed out.
At the same time, it is cold in Tokmak. The work authorities have not been able to arrange heating for the city’s residents.
“For the second year now, the work administration has failed during the heating season and the majority of the housing stock in the captured city has no heat,” notes CNS.
The Russian conquerors could not guarantee a warm season in the occupied territories of Kherson, so people had to prepare for the cold.
