Igor Gladkovsky is accused of theft of 13 million UAH in the military-industrial complex and subsequent money laundering. Now the defendant is outside Ukraine. The arrest of Gladkovsky’s son in absentia was reported by Babel and Slovo i Delo, citing sources in law enforcement agencies.
As you know, in 2019, Bihus.Info journalists published a large-scale investigation into theft in the defense complex of Ukraine. Through the illegal scheme, the criminals enriched themselves by at least 250 million UAH. Investigators claimed that Pavel Bukin, Igor and Oleg Gladkovsky were involved in the scheme.
Let us remind you that on October 6, the Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office reported suspicions in the case of theft in the defense industry to the son of the former first deputy secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleg Gladkovsky, Igor, and the former general director of Ukrspetsexport, Pavel Bukin.
According to investigators, Bukin entered into an agreement with a company controlled by Gladkovsky to purchase avionics equipment for approximately $450,000. It turned out that the price was almost seven times too high.
