The work of the State Service for Special Communications is based on the principles of openness and zero tolerance for corruption, the department assured.
The State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine is fully open to cooperation with law enforcement agencies. This was said on Monday, November 20, in a commentary published by the press service of the department on suspicions of embezzlement of public funds brought against the management of the service.
“The State Special Communications Service has provided all necessary information to law enforcement agencies and is ready to continue providing this information, as the work of the service is based on the principles of openness and zero tolerance for corruption . All service purchases in 2020 were carried out in compliance with the current law. Purchases in the field of protecting state registers are complex, their analysis requires preparation and understanding, and the service is ready provide all necessary explanations to NABU detectives, in any format,” the message said.
The State Service for Special Communications has been urged to refrain from making accusations against specific officials or employees involved in organizing the protection of Ukraine’s critical information infrastructure until the investigation is completed and the results of the investigation are given a legal assessment by the court.
“The State Service of Special Communications continues to carry out the tasks assigned to the service. The duties of the head of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection of Ukraine of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine are temporarily entrusted to Dmitry Vasilyevich Makovsky, ” added the department.
We remind you that today it became known about the dismissal of the leadership of the State Special Communications Service, including its head Yuri Shchigol. And later, anti-corruption officials said they suspected officials of embezzling 62 million hryvnias.
