Japan plans to allocate 160 million euros to support economic recovery projects in Ukraine. This was said by Prime Minister Denis Shmygal following a meeting with Japanese State Minister of Foreign Affairs Kiyoto Tsuji, State Minister of Economy, Trade and Industry Kazuchika Iwata and representatives of Japanese business.

“He expressed our priorities for rapid recovery: energy, housing, critical infrastructure, humanitarian demining and business support. I thank the Japanese delegation for today’s mission, which will help further attract Japanese companies to recovery,” said the prime minister.

According to him, Ukraine is interested in creating joint ventures, especially in the processing industry.

“Cooperation in the fields of agriculture, metalworking, mechanical engineering, critical raw materials and IT is important for us. Japan’s experience in post-war reconstruction can be useful for Ukraine’s economic recovery,” said the head of government.

Earlier it was reported that Japan will transfer a new batch of humanitarian aid to Ukraine, which includes, in particular, transformers and solar panels.

Let’s recall that the Japanese Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi, during a visit to Kyiv on September 9, announced the readiness of the Japanese side to start negotiations in the near future on the conclusion of a bilateral security agreement with Ukraine .
