Ukraine has created a headquarters to help Ukrainian drivers block the Polish border. This was announced by the Minister of Development of Communities, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine Alexander Kubrakov on Facebook on Sunday, November 19.

The main task of the headquarters is to provide the people with food, drinking water, medicine and fuel.

Each of the three border crossings is assigned a coordinator who collects the needs and is in constant contact with the drivers. The Ukrtransbezopasnosti hotline is also open 24 hours a day +38(067)1200483.

“Today, an initiative team is already working at the border, which has 11 thousand kits of food, drinking water and necessary medicines,” said the minister.

Also, the Ministry, together with the relevant departments, will facilitate the evacuation of drivers on the territory of Ukraine, if there is such a need.

“The Headquarters will work until the border is unblocked and stability of movement is restored at the checkpoints,” Kubrakov said.

We remind you that on November 6, a strike by Polish carriers began on the Polish-Ukrainian border. The movement of trucks was blocked at checkpoints Korchova – Krakovets, Grebennoye – Rava-Russkaya, Dorogusk – Yagodin. The Poles demand the return of permits for commercial transport for Ukraine.

On the morning of November 19, about 4,600 trucks were gathered at the Polish border. 1,200 trucks each in the direction of Yagodin and Krakovets checkpoints, another 500 vehicles are waiting in the direction of Rava-Russkaya.

The Vice-President of the Association of International Road Carriers of Ukraine Vladimir Balin said that each day of delay at the border costs Ukrainian carriers at least 300 euros.
