The meeting of gunsmiths of the two countries was announced on November 17 by the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Ermak. It will bring together representatives of American and Ukrainian industry and governments to explore the possibilities of joint production of weapons.
Ermak outlined possible joint products between Ukraine and the United States: ammunition, air defense systems, drones, electronic warfare.
He recalled that the presidents of the United States and Ukraine agreed on the joint production of specific types of weapons during a meeting in Washington earlier this year.
In November 2023, during a recent visit to the United States, the government and OP teams also discussed issues of joint production of weapons and holding a corresponding conference. It will be a continuation of the International Defense Industry Forum, held in Ukraine on September 29.
