Relatives of Russian military personnel were threatened that if the events were held without permission from the authorities, there would be “responsibility.”
Moscow authorities did not coordinate a rally of wives of Russian soldiers demanding the return of men from the war against Ukraine. Meduza reported it.
The publication wrote that the reason for the refusal was “the epidemiological situation in the city.” Also in the letter, applicants are reminded that in the Russian capital there is still a ban on mass events introduced in 2020 due to the coronavirus.
Spouses of Russian military personnel were threatened that if the events were held without permission from the authorities, there would be “responsibility.”
They want to hold the rally on November 25 in the center of Moscow in one of the squares. About 300 people can go there.
Let’s remember that in Russia the first and until now discreet manifestations of dissatisfaction with the war began to be recorded. On November 7, in the center of Moscow, about 20 mobilized squads demanded that Russian President Vladimir Putin carry out a round of military personnel.
Their picket lasted less than five minutes, police surrounded the protestors’ relatives and demanded they fold the posters, but no arrests were made.
In the past, Moscow authorities refused to allow women to hold rallies, citing anti-Covid restrictions, and they did not hold rallies.
According to the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, more than 20 thousand people are mobilized in Russia every month for the war against Ukraine.
