The state budget for 2024 provides an increase in funding for scholarships by more than 500 million hryvnias.
The Ministry of Education and Science, on behalf of President Vladimir Zelensky, is studying the possibility of increasing the number of academic scholarships for the best students. This was announced on Friday, November 17, by the Minister of Education and Science Oksen Lesovoy.
He noted that the state budget for 2024 provides an increase in funding for scholarships by more than 500 million hryvnias.
The amount for the development of scientific activities in universities has also increased – 801 million has been allocated for this purpose, another 500 million will be spent on the creation of 100 modern workshops for professional technicians.
Lesovoy noted that he considers the work of his team to create all the conditions for the quality development of higher education and new opportunities for students.
It was also reported on Friday that students and scientists who are not of mobilization age may be allowed to travel abroad. Zelensky instructed the Ministry of Education to develop a suitable solution.
