Israel is a rule-of-law state that operates in accordance with international law, the country’s Foreign Minister emphasized.
Israel considers Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s recent accusations against the country a distortion of the truth. About that stated Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen on social media X on Wednesday, November 15.
The Foreign Minister said that “those who host terrorists and support terrorist organizations will not preach Israel’s morality.”
“The Turkish president is distorting the truth and is once again on the wrong side of history, while glorifying mass killings in Iran, Lebanon, Syria and Yemen,” Cohen said.
According to him, Israel is a rule-of-law state that operates in accordance with international law. The country will continue the war against the Hamas group, Cohen assured.
It will be remembered that Erdogan said that Israel is a “terrorist state” that commits war crimes and violates international law in Gaza. According to the Turkish leader, “Hamas defends its lands, honor and lives despite the policy of occupation.”
Earlier, Turkish human rights activists filed a case against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu with the Turkish Ministry of Justice for further referral to the International Criminal Court. Netanyahu has been accused of “genocide and crimes against humanity” in Gaza.
