The Turkish leader believes that Hamas is “defending its lands, honor and lives despite the policy of occupation.”
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has declared that Israel is a “terrorist state” that is committing war crimes and violating international law in Gaza. He said this on Wednesday, November 15, in the Turkish parliament, Anadolu reports.
According to Erdogan, Israel’s military campaign against the radical Palestinian group Hamas in the Gaza Strip is one of the “most treacherous attacks in human history with the unlimited support of the West.”
“I say frankly that Israel is a terrorist state. You call Hamas a terrorist organization. Hamas is a political party that participated and won the elections in Palestine. After winning the elections, you took away these rights from them. Israel and America took them together.” – said the President of Turkey.
According to him, the Hamas militants who attacked Israel on October 7 were “defending their lands, honor and living in defiance of the occupation policies” and “fighters of the resistance.”
Erdogan called for Israeli leaders to be tried for war crimes at the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
The Turkish President also called on the Prime Minister of Israel to admit that his country has nuclear weapons, noting that “Israel can have as many nuclear bombs as it wants. But whatever it has, will leave it still is.”
The Turkish leader emphasized that if Israel continues “its massacre” in the same way, it will be recorded everywhere that “it is a terrorist state that curses the whole world.”
Let’s recall that the previous day, Turkish human rights activists filed a case against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the Ministry of Justice for further referral to the International Criminal Court. Netanyahu has been accused of “genocide and crimes against humanity” in the Gaza Strip.
Let’s remember that on October 7, the Palestinian radical group Hamas, based in Gaza, attacked Israel. In response, the Israel Defense Forces launched a military operation against Hamas. The number of victims of the attack in Israel reached 1,400 people, in Gaza they say more than 11,000 died.
