Kyiv is working on this with international partners. The head of the Presidential Office, Andriy Yermak, stated this during a speech at the Hudson Institute in Washington, but did not specify which Ukrainian airport could be restarted for flights.
According to him, the airfield can be opened after strengthening anti-aircraft operations. Also, strengthening air defense will guarantee the restoration of Ukraine, since the country “needs a reliable umbrella.”
We are working on this with our partners. This is a sign that the turning points in the war are approaching. And next year will be decisive in this regard,” he noted.
Let us remind you that the media showed a video of the remains of the Kherson international airport in the village of Chernobaevka, located near the regional center. In the footage you can see the remains of a sign installed on the airport building, some of the letters of which have fallen.
