Departure of commanders: Defense Ministry responds to rumours

The Ministry of Defense said it would not comment on rumors or unverified information about the alleged dismissal of the three commanders. This statement was made by the press service of the Ministry of Defense on the evening of Monday, November 12.

Thus, the Ministry of Defense responded to requests from journalists after information appeared in the media that the Minister of Defense was allegedly preparing a proposal for the dismissal of three commanders.

“Everyone is working as normal, decisions are discussed in coordination with the General Staff. The information published by a number of media outlets is false,” the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

They also called for information hygiene.

Earlier, Ukrainskaya Pravda, citing sources in the military-political leadership, reported that Defense Minister Rustem Umerov was preparing a proposal for the dismissal of three commanders of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. They are talking about the commander of the Medical Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Tatyana Ostashchenko, the commander of the Operational-Strategic Group of Tavria troops Alexander Tarnavsky and the commander of the Joint Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces Sergei Naev.

Let’s recall that earlier the head of the Office of the President Andriy Yermak said that the head of state Vladimir Zelensky will not fire the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. According to him, the political and military command of Ukraine has a unified position.
