Police found vehicles fitted with tracking devices and led a pursuit on the A4 motorway between Reims and Paris.

The trucks were stolen from a company in Reims between Friday night and Saturday morning, French media reported.
According to Le Parisien newspaper, the cargo consisted of bottles of Moët & Chandon, one of the most famous champagne brands. Each batch costs 300 thousand euros.
The trucks were tracked down on the A4 motorway near Ponteau-Combault, about 20km from central Paris, on Saturday morning.
Two police cars were involved in the pursuit. The thieves tried to get away from them by quickly turning the steering wheel.
When the police forced one of the trucks to brake, the driver jumped out and was picked up by a sedan following behind the convoy. The car has left.
The second truck took the next exit and was later found to be driverless. The investigation is currently underway.
The champagne bottles were found undamaged.
Let’s remember that in 2020 Ukraine stopped exporting products under the names “cognac” and “champagne”, replacing their names with “sparkling wine” and “brandy”.
