Andrey Demchenko explained that blocking Polish carriers harms not only Ukraine, but also Poland.
The queues at the Polish border continue to grow. Now there are 2.5 thousand trucks there. This was reported by the spokesman of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Andrey Demchenko, on the air of the United News telethon.
“In general, this blockade harms both Ukraine and Poland. But we saw that since the 6th, Polish carriers continued such actions,” he said.
According to him, now there is only one direction left in which vehicles move more or less intensively, at the Krakovets checkpoint.
“The queue that is now forming on the territory of Poland of cargo vehicles that want to cross the border in the direction of Ukraine is only growing. On the morning of November 12, there were 2,500 trucks waiting to cross the border,” said speaking
Demchenko added that the movement of these trucks was complicated by Polish carriers blocking the roads.
“Most of these cars waiting in line on Polish territory in the direction of Ukraine are in the direction of the Yagodin checkpoint. It is more than 50%. The other cars are in the direction of the Rava-Ruska and Krakovets checkpoints. ,” he said.
The spokesperson of the State Border Guard Service expressed the hope that the Poles will stop such actions as soon as possible. Demchenko recalled that tomorrow, November 13, there will be a meeting of representatives of Ukraine and Poland on this issue.
As already written, Ukraine’s border with Poland has been blocked since November 6 by Polish carriers, demanding the abolition of the visa-free transport regime for Ukraine. Because of this, border traffic is severely limited.
On the morning of November 11, approximately 2,500 vehicles were waiting to cross the border.
