The soldiers waited for the brigade commander for more than 30 minutes, and then a Russian missile hit, leading to the injury and death of the soldiers. The award ceremony was initially scheduled for 9:00, but was moved to 9:30. At this time, the military were already lined up and were waiting for the commander. At about 10:10 there was an “arrival”. This was reported by Public with reference to sources from the 128th brigade.
It is noted that the brigade commander arrived literally two minutes after arrival.
According to information, the enemy was monitoring the soldiers of the 128th brigade from a UAV, which corrected the missile strike. However, the occupiers made a mistake and entered the building behind the military, closer to the road. Thus, all the soldiers who stood closer to the road died. And the commanders of the guns, gunners and artillerymen, who were supposed to be awarded, were slightly covered by the wall of the house into which the Iskander hit. Due to this there are fewer casualties. However, many soldiers were injured by the debris.
Let us recall that on November 3, the Russians fired an Iskander missile at a village in the Zaporozhye region, as a result of which servicemen of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade and civilians were killed and wounded. The blast wave and debris damaged about 30 houses and outbuildings located near the impact site.
The strike killed 19 military personnel. The DBR initiated criminal proceedings under Part 4 of Art. 425 (negligent attitude of a military official to service) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
