The terrorist group Hamas is holding hundreds of hostages in the Gaza Strip, captured by Israel on October 7.
Israel will not agree to a cease-fire in Gaza unless the terrorist group Hamas releases the hostages it is holding. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced this on Sunday, November 5, The Times of Israel wrote.
“Remove the word ‘truce’ from your vocabulary. We say this to our enemies and our friends. We will continue until we defeat them. We have no alternative,” Netanyahu said during a visit to an Israeli air force base .
He emphasized that despite the internal contradictions in the country on the reforms of the judicial system, military personnel with different political views are coming out in full force for voluntary service in the reserve.
“Our enemies did us wrong. They thought that the soldiers would not come on the important day. We acted together and now we are fighting side by side,” the prime minister emphasized.
Meanwhile, IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari told reporters that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have completely surrounded Gaza City and divided it into two parts.
According to him, the troops under the command of the reconnaissance unit have reached the coast and are holding it.
“Now there is northern Gaza and southern Gaza,” he said.
According to him, the IDF will still allow civilians to leave northern Gaza and go south.
However, IDF Chief of Staff Hertz Halevi added that the Israeli military is “ready to go on the offensive at any time in the north” of the country, as they defend themselves against daily rocket attacks from Lebanese Hezbollah in recent weeks.
Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s trip to Israel is now in jeopardy because of leaked information about his upcoming visit.
The Israel Defense Forces attacked Hezbollah military infrastructure in response to the launches from Lebanon.
