The head of state spoke about the implementation of another standard for European integration, which also provided additional guarantees for national communities in the country.
President Vladimir Zelensky signed the law on national minorities, which is one of the seven criteria for Ukrainian European integration. The head of state spoke about this in a video message on Friday, November 3.
“Today we signed an important law on national communities. We implemented another standard for our European integration. Additional guarantees for national communities in Ukraine, additional guarantees for our movement in the European Union. We continue working more on implementing the recommendations of the European Commission,” Zelensky said.
As reported, on September 21, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the bill “European Integration” No. 9610 on national minorities.
Let’s remember that at the end of September Zelensky promised to complete the work on the EC standard in a month.
