The train route follows the route of humanitarian trains departing from Prague to Poland.
The RegioJet carrier launches on Saturday, June 11, a regular train service between Prague, Lviv and Kyiv. This was reported by Radio Prague International.
The route follows humanitarian trains leaving from Prague to Przemysl, in southeastern Poland. The city, located on the border with Ukraine, has been hosting refugees and humanitarian aid since the beginning of Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
Passengers can use this feature without restrictions. For Ukrainian passport holders, a ticket from Prague to Lviv costs 229 kroons (9 euros), and in Kyiv – 639 kroons (about 25 euros).
“RegioJet is responding to strong requests from Ukrainian families who want to return to relatives and friends,” Teresa Ptachkova, foreign project manager, said in a statement.
Recall that earlier Ukrzaliznytsia appointed night train No. 53/54 Kyiv – Przemysl. It departs from June 11 from Kyiv at 19:48 and arrives in Przemysl the next day at 07:21. In the other direction, the train will start running from June 12: leaving at 18:39 and arriving in Kyiv at 09:21.
