The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs communicated with official Ankara and is waiting for clarification and reaction regarding the visit of representatives of the Russian occupation administration of the city of Yalta in Turkey. “We are considering this situation with extreme seriousness. The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has already requested official explanations from the Turkish side about the status of the visit of representatives of the Russian occupation administration,” he wrote.
The diplomatic department noted that in accordance with international law, the Crimean Peninsula is part of the territory of Ukraine, temporarily occupied by Russia. The Foreign Ministry emphasized that they expect the Turkish authorities, who support the territorial integrity of Ukraine, to respond appropriately to Russia’s provocation and prevent its repetition in the future.
