Members of the far-right group CasaPound intend to take part in a rally today, November 1, to mark the anniversary of the 2013 killing of two members of the neo-Nazi Golden Dawn party.
In the Greek capital, Athens, law enforcement officials detained a group of Italian neo-fascists who had come to participate in a rally. This was reported by Ekathimerini.
“A group of 21 Italian neo-fascists were detained at Athens International Airport on Tuesday evening,” police said.

The police banned this rally, as well as a meeting of a far-left group planned for the same date.
The Immigration Service took the detained Italians and began the process of administrative deportation against them “for reasons of national security.”
The leader of the far-right group CasaPound, Gianluca Iannone, called the Greek police intervention “arbitrary, unfounded and with an excessive show of force.”
