In Paris, police responded to reports of a woman possibly planning to blow herself up in the city center and was seriously injured before being taken to hospital. This was reported on Tuesday, October 31, by CNN-News18.
“Paris police opened fire and seriously wounded a woman wearing a hijab in the capital’s metro station on Tuesday,” the report said.
It was learned that law enforcement officials received information from passengers who said the suspicious woman acted “threateningly” and said she was “going to blow herself up.”
“Fearing for their own safety, the police used their weapons,” said a spokesman for the Metropolitan Police.
Rescuers who provided emergency medical assistance reported that a bullet hit the woman in the stomach. He was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
