In the past 24 hours alone, 19 cases of viral hepatitis A were recorded in the Vinnytsia region.
In Vinnytsia region, the number of patients with viral hepatitis A has increased to 231. Almost 500 beds have been deployed in regional hospitals with the ability to completely isolate patients. This was reported by the press service of the Vinnytsia Regional Center for Disease Control and Prevention on October 31.
It is known that in the past 24 hours alone, 19 cases of viral hepatitis A have been recorded in the region. In total, on the night of October 30, 231 cases were recorded. 189 cases have been confirmed in the laboratory, 144 people are in the hospital.
Among the sick – 25 students and eight students, 12 cases of viral hepatitis A were recorded among employees of educational institutions.
Isolated cases of the disease, in addition to Vinnitsa, were also registered in other territorial communities of the region. Patients with hepatitis A were found in Mogilev-Podilsky, Khmilnyk, Kalinovka, Gaisin and Kazyatyn.
The patients were in the infectious diseases departments of community medical institutions. The condition of all patients was assessed as moderate.
The Vinnytsia Regional Medical Administration reported that about 500 beds have been deployed in regional hospitals with the ability to fully isolate the patient. Mobile medical teams travel rapidly to administer vaccinations.
A study of drinking water from water pipes, wells, and aquamats is also underway. In particular, food products from markets are inspected and the sale of home-made products is temporarily limited.
Distance learning continues in educational institutions in Vinnitsa. The same applies to extracurricular activities, sports and art clubs.
We remind you that on October 24, an outbreak of viral hepatitis A was recorded in one of the districts of Vinnitsa. Chief Sanitary Doctor Igor Kuzin said that we are talking about an outbreak and emergency situation on a regional scale.
