The Czech leader linked European security to the situation on the battlefield in Ukraine and promised to continue to support Kyiv.
Czech President Petr Pavel, in a meeting with foreign diplomats working in Prague, said that the Czech Republic remains committed to supporting the sovereignty of Ukraine, recognizing the extreme importance of such a position. According to him, the situation in Europe today depends on whether Ukraine will survive, reports 420on.cz.
“According to the president, the current conflicts cannot be resolved simply by listening to both sides and drawing an imaginary line somewhere in the middle. He mentioned the extensive violations of international law in Ukraine and -Russia attacks on innocent people,” the report said.
According to Pavel, the Czech Republic remains faithful to its position and supports the sovereignty of Ukraine.
“If Ukraine falls, we all fall,” he said.
As the publication notes, Russian Ambassador Alexander Zmievsky was not invited to this meeting.
Let’s recall that Pavel called for reducing the EU’s dependence on US defense and strengthening the European component of NATO.
Earlier, the Czech Republic declared that in order to liberate Crimea, Ukraine must first win the war.
