Difficult weather conditions in Ukraine caused more than a thousand settlements to lose power.

Due to bad weather, 1 thousand 45 settlements in 14 regions lost power. In Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnepropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kiev, Lviv, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Khmelnitsky, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv regions, more than 300 thousand consumers were left without electricity. The Ministry of Energy of Ukraine reported this.
The worst situation with energy supply is observed in the Khmelnitsky region, where power has disappeared in 400 settlements. Also in the Khmelnitsky region, the 750 kW interstate connection line with Hungary and the 750 kW overhead line were switched off.
The Ministry of Energy assured that the electricity produced by Ukrainian power plants is now quite sufficient to meet the needs of consumers.
Let us remind you that in Kyiv on October 28, two people died as a result of hurricane winds and falling trees. Seven residents of the capital received injuries and fractures. Five were hospitalized, two were treated on the spot. Bad weather will rage in the capital until the end of the day.
