Bad weather in Ukraine left 306 thousand consumers in 1045 settlements without electricity, with the most losses in the Khmelnitsky region. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy on Saturday, October 28.
Due to bad weather conditions, 1,045 settlements were cut off in 14 regions – Vinnytsia, Volyn, Dnipropetrovsk, Zhytomyr, Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk, Kiev, Lviv, Rivne, Sumy, Ternopil, Khmelnytsky, Chernivtsi and Chernihiv.
The ministry added that most of them are in the Khmelnitsky region, where 400 settlements are without power. Also in the region, the 750 kV interstate connection line in Hungary and the 750 kV overhead line were switched off. Restoration is in progress.
In the Donetsk region, 25 settlements lost power due to shelling. Also, some consumers in Dnepropetrovsk, Zaporozhye, Sumy, Kharkov, Kherson, and Chernigov regions remain without electricity. Repair teams work where the security situation allows.
It was previously reported that as a result of strong gusts of wind and rain in Lviv and Rivne regions, several settlements were cut off from power. Meanwhile, in Kyiv, two men died due to bad weather.
