China will skip the peace summit with Ukraine in Malta – media

Bloomberg said that some countries such as Brazil and Chile will participate in the conference online.

China will not take part in the meeting of Ukrainian national security advisers in Malta. Bloomberg reported this on Thursday, October 26, citing sources familiar with the matter.

The list of participants for the meeting includes the G7 countries, Qatar, South Africa, India and Turkey. Some countries, such as Brazil and Chile, will participate in the conference online.

“The absence of Beijing will be a disappointment for the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, who is trying to get international support for his project of a strong and just peace,” the material said.

Ukraine is set to host a summit later this year, and Beijing’s participation is critical to those efforts because China is one of the few countries that has some influence over Russian President Vladimir Putin. , the media said.

Let’s recall that the head of the Politburo of the Islamist organization Hamas, Ismail Haniyeh, thanked Russia and China for their support in the UN Security Council, where a resolution to the conflict with Israel was considered.

As is known, in the UN Security Council, Russia and China vetoed a draft US resolution on the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
