For the specified amount, the judge promised to impose a punishment unrelated to the actual term of imprisonment.
In Kropyvnytskyi, the SBU and NABU exposed a judge who asked for a bribe so that the perpetrator of a fatal accident would not go to jail. This was reported by the press service of the SBU.
The judge reportedly asked for $10.5 thousand for his “services.” For this amount, the judge promised to impose a punishment on the defendant unrelated to the actual term of imprisonment.
“The officer involved his acquaintance, a former employee of the disbanded police, in illegal activities as an intermediary to discuss “conditions” and transfer of illegal benefits. Law enforcement officials documented the fact that the entire amount of the bribe was transferred to the accomplice,” the report said.
Suspicion was revealed to the judge and his accomplice, and the issue of choosing a preventive measure was decided. Perpetrators face up to 10 years in prison with confiscation of assets.
It was previously reported that an official of the Antimonopoly Committee was jailed for bribery.
We remind you that the deputy chairman of the medical commission in the Lviv region tried to eat a bribe that he asked a serviceman.
