Since the beginning of the year, DTEK and Ukrenergo workers have jointly restored power lines and facilities after enemy attacks 11 times.
DTEK repair teams and company specialists Ukrainergo resumed the operation of power grids that were damaged after enemy shelling in the Donetsk region. The press service of the energy holding reported this yesterday.
“In September of this year, DTEK energy workers in the Donetsk region gave their colleagues from the NEC Ukrainergo special equipment, with the help of which it is possible to restore the high voltage line. The repaired line will help make electricity supply more reliable across the region ahead of winter,” the statement said.
DTEK announced that since 2023, they have helped colleagues from Ukrainergo restore power lines and facilities after enemy attacks in Dnepropetrovsk and Donetsk regions.
In particular, according to the company, the DTEK teams Electrical networks of Donetsk performed network inspections six times Ukrainergo after Russian attacks and in the case of discovering damage or disruption to the operation of the lines, they removed them. In addition, specialists helped their colleagues three times with special equipment: hole drills, towers and cranes.
DTEK also reported that in the Dnipropetrovsk region, DTEK teams Dnieper Electric Networks in May we helped colleagues from NEC Ukrainergo install transformer substations and mount 6 kV aerial cable lines from networks Ukrzaliznytsia at the substation.
“Before this, in March, after an enemy attack on one of NEC’s high-voltage substations UkrainergoDTEK crews dismantled the damaged equipment for 2 days so that their colleagues could resume the operation of the substation as soon as possible,” added the energy holding.
We remind you that on the night of October 22, the Russians attacked one of DTEK’s thermal power plants. The plant’s equipment was badly damaged. The station is currently undergoing renovation.
DTEK also reported that last week they restored power to 77 thousand consumers in three regions.
