Global stocks of 155mm rounds and other weapons systems have already dried up and manufacturers are scrambling to meet demand, so “there will be compromises” in supplies for both wars. This was reported by the American edition of The New York Times, citing a representative of the US Department of Defense.
Representatives of Congress and the US national security sphere noted that Ukraine and Israel are fighting different types of wars and have different capabilities and needs. However, both the Ukrainian Armed Forces and the Israel Defense Forces may need not only NATO-style shells, but bombs with a GPS navigation system and Stinger man-portable anti-aircraft missile systems.
Let us remind you that on October 20, US President Joe Biden invited Congress to agree on a budget to help Ukraine and Israel. The media reported that the request amounted to $105 billion. Washington plans to allocate $61.4 billion to Ukraine, and $14.3 billion to Israel, including $9.15 billion in humanitarian aid.
