Washington will redirect thousands of artillery shells to Israel that were originally supposed to be sent to Ukraine, the NYT reports.

The United States of America will provide Israel with tens of thousands of 155-mm artillery shells promised to Ukraine, reports The New York Times.

According to the publication, global stocks of 155-millimeter shells and other weapons systems have dried up, and manufacturers are struggling to meet demand, so it seems “there will be compromises” in supplies for both wars. .

Overall, Ukraine and Israel are fighting different types of wars and have different capabilities and needs, according to current and former US security officials and congressional officials.

However, both countries may need from the United States, in addition to artillery shells, bombs with GPS navigation systems and Stinger man-portable anti-aircraft missile systems.

Earlier, NATO said it had the necessary resources to simultaneously support Israel in its conflict with Hamas, as well as assist Ukraine in its war with the Russian Federation.
