The Kremlin recruits these occupiers in various ways to serve in the army of invasion. They not only recruit prisoners, but also debtors and representatives of unreliable categories of the population. These Russians are promised to be paid. Volunteers do not sign up for war without the help of others. The enemy is also mobilizing conscripts. On October 22, a representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Andrey Yusov, spoke about this in an interview with Espresso.
Also, the Russian command widely practices the so-called forced signing of an agreement with former servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces. Such persons are called to the military registration and enlistment office, supposedly to verify data, and are forced to sign a contract. If you refuse, you are afraid of criminal prosecution or other problems in life.
The GUR emphasized that “it is not necessary to talk about the motivation of these people, from the point of view of ideology, from the point of view of “love” for their homeland, especially when it comes to depressed regions.”
Let us remind you that the Center for National Resistance reported that in the temporarily occupied southern regions of Ukraine, the enemy is mobilizing local residents into the ranks of its army. In particular, in the Kherson region, cases of serving summons specifically for mobilization were recorded after locals came to fake military registration and enlistment offices to clarify the data.
