Beijing is using Russia to strengthen its influence in the world, including on the territory of the Russian Federation itself, according to Ukrainian intelligence.
Russian dictator Vladimir Putin visited China last week and the consequences of this visit will be better for Beijing than for Moscow. This was announced by the representative of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Andrey Yusov in an interview with Espresso.
According to him, China is a country strictly guided by its own interests, and not by the whims of Putin, who has not been in power for a long time.
“The consequences (of the visit – ed.) for China will be better, because China uses this situation, in particular, to strengthen its influence in the world, including the territory of the Russian Federation. The Russian Federation, as a raw material appendage of the global economy, wherever it appears, it is primarily viewed as a source of cheap resources, resources at a discount,” said Yusov.
Let’s recall that on October 18, Putin arrived in Beijing to participate in the third International Forum One Belt, One Road. This Chinese initiative aims to build infrastructure and expand China’s global influence.
