The main goal of the President of the Russian Federation today is to partially stay in the occupied territories, OP’s adviser believes.
The president of the aggressor country, Vladimir Putin, aims to retain at least some of the occupied territories of Ukraine. Advisor to the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak said this in the telethon.
He emphasized that the leader of the Kremlin seeks to transfer the war to a conflict of less intensity, where it is possible to conduct some negotiations.
“Same as after 2014, only with different conditions. Because after 2014, Putin still continues to present himself as someone who abides by international law, here Putin wants to be allowed to ignore international law is intact. And he wants to be allowed to prevail in new rules, where violence is a tool of influence in a particular region,” said Podolyak.
Let’s remember that the other day Putin said that Ukraine was supposedly thinking about negotiations with the Russian Federation and that it was necessary to “cancel the Kyiv decree prohibiting negotiations.”
According to the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, Alexei Danilov, negotiations with Russia will not take place until it leaves the occupied Ukrainian territory.
