“I thank everyone who is now in battle, in battle positions, in posts! Avdeevka direction, Maryinka. Bakhmut direction. Kupyanskoe, Limanskoe direction. Our Zaporozhye. Our Kherson region. On the contact line and in deep in the occupied territory, our soldiers did this week very strongly for Ukraine,” he said.
The head of state also thanked all the defense and security forces. “Every unit, every soldier, every commander who gave our state the necessary result of the battle this week,” Zelensky stressed.
We remind you that on the night of October 17, the Ukrainian Armed Forces attacked the airports near Berdyansk and Lugansk. Special operations forces reported that the airport’s runways were damaged and nine helicopters, special equipment, an air defense launcher and an ammunition depot were hit.
The Russians announced an attack with ATACMS missiles. Later, American media reported that Ukraine had indeed launched ATACMS, and in an evening video message, President Vladimir Zelensky confirmed this.
