    From now on, electronic warfare (EW) equipment will quickly reach the troops, since their approval for operation will occur on the basis of a joint departmental test report or based on the results of a study of the declared tactical and technical characteristics.

    .

    This was announced by the Ministry of Defense and Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Fedorov.

    The state customer will be able to purchase UAVs and electronic electronic devices if they have conducted joint departmental tests with the manufacturers. Before this, the process of admission to service is unreasonably lengthy – studying technical documentation, conducting tests, determining and obtaining the needs of the armed forces. In addition, the General Staff is entrusted with the responsibility to approve the technical requirements for electronic warfare equipment and their current need for each type of electronic warfare, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

    Fedorov is convinced that this decision will help manufacturers develop more actively and reinvest profits.

    In March, the Government adopted a resolution on UAVs. The solution helped the Ukrainian drone market scale tenfold, and today our military receives many domestically produced drones. Now we are transferring this experience to electronic warfare,” Fedorov pointed out.

    The head of the Ministry of Digital Development explained that changes in the resolution will allow:

    • purchase RES equipment to the state under a simplified procedure;

    • increase manufacturers’ profits by 25%;

    • allowed for operation without repeated testing and a meeting of the Ministry of Defense commission;

    • reduce the approval for operation of UAV and electronic warfare models to 10 days; purchase electronic warfare by the Ministry of Defense and the State Special Communications Service at the request of the Defense Forces;

    • buy UAVs and electronic warfare before the completion of the procedure for authorization for operation thanks to an act of joint departmental testing with a positive conclusion or the presence of a NATO nomenclature number;

    • do not approve the Technical Specifications for samples of unmanned systems and electronic warfare equipment at the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
