The Wall Street Journal writes about this.
About 70% of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ combat losses are the result of Russian artillery strikes. Therefore, the destruction of Russian artillery practically helps to save the lives of the defenders of Ukraine.
The WSJ points out that Ukraine has an accuracy advantage over Russia’s artillery, which has a larger number of guns and installations.
According to the independent group of analysts WarSpotting, which tracks documented losses of equipment on both sides, 177 Russian guns and multiple launch rocket systems have been destroyed since the Ukrainian Armed Forces counteroffensive began in June. In the Zaporozhye region, 92 units of Russian artillery equipment were destroyed. Ukraine lost 19 units.
