On Saturday night, during the shelling of Ukraine, Russian aggressors simultaneously launched cruise missiles and guided aerial bombs for the first time (UAB – ed.). This was announced by the head of the Joint Coordination Press Center of the Defense Forces of Southern Ukraine, Natalya Gumenyuk, in a telethon on October 21.
“This is clearly an attempt by the enemy to launch a missile strike as effectively as possible for themselves, because they know that we cannot compete with the UABs,” he said.
According to Gumenyuk, that night, guided bombs were almost simultaneously sent from tactical aviation aircraft to the front-line territories and cruise missiles of the X-59 type were sent to the subsequent territories of the second echelon of training, for example, in Krivoy Rog, Nikolaev region. Attack drones were also used.
“In fact, everyone simultaneously aims to exhaust the air defense and achieve the maximum result,” said Gumenyuk.
We remind you that on the night of October 20, the enemy attacked Krivoy Rog twice with drones and missiles. There were civilian casualties.
