The President urged to help Ukrainian refugees abroad

People who left the country themselves want to go back-to their spouses, parents, quarreling children, to their homeland, Zelensky said.

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky offered to help Ukrainians who are temporarily abroad in search of work or education. He announced this on Wednesday, June 8, at the Yale CEO Summit.

Zelensky noted that the war with Russia “will not end tomorrow”, and people abroad – in the US, Europe, Canada, need financial and humanitarian support.

He also drew attention to the fact that some countries have stopped financial support or cut it for Ukrainians abroad due to the Russian aggression.

“I know that many countries that provide humanitarian support to our people are reducing this support because it is not easy for them. I do not blame them for anything, they have already done a lot for our people … Like I want you to pay attention to a few simple things, to help our people financially while they are outside the territory of our state is important, to help humanitarianly is important. As for temporary employment, school, education, we can help Ukraine in this direction, “the president said.

He also added that the people themselves want to go back – to their spouses, parents, children who are fighting.

“They haven’t come for a long time, they believe in success and return,” the president said.

Recall that in Poland, Ukrainian refugees from July 1 will no longer be paid a daily allowance in the amount of 40 zlotys per day (275 UAH) for food.

Approximately 7 million citizens of Ukraine since the beginning of the widespread war have gone abroad – mainly to EU countries. Experts believe that many Ukrainian refugees will remain in Europe even after the war.
