The document should include a set of reforms in the areas of the economy, the rule of law and democratization, as well as a plan for recovery, reconstruction and investment.

The United States and the European Union have expressed their willingness to help Ukraine develop plan of Ukraine – a document with a list of reforms that will bring EU accession closer. This was stated in a joint statement following the EU-US summit held on Friday October 20.

EU and US leaders say they recognize the “urgency of ensuring that Russia does not succeed in destroying the Ukrainian economy” and the corresponding need to step up support efforts.

“As co-chairs, with Ukraine, of the Interagency Donor Coordination Platform, we are working with Ukraine to develop Plan of Ukraine (Ukraine Plan), which is part of its European path,” the statement said.

plan of Ukraine should include “a common set of short-term economic priorities, rule of law and democratization reforms, as well as a prioritized and well-coordinated recovery strategy and reconstruction assistance and investment,” the statement said.

EU and US leaders note that they will continue to provide funding to Ukraine to achieve these goals – in particular, protecting, repairing and rebuilding its energy sector in accordance with EU standards.

The statement also emphasized the strategic importance of Ukraine’s accession to the EU.

It was previously reported that US President Joe Biden will hold a meeting with EU leaders. The main topic of negotiations in the White House is Russia’s war against Ukraine and Hamas against Israel.
