The head of the DPRK indicated this at negotiations in Pyongyang with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, the KCNA news agency writes.
During the meeting, Kim noted Pyongyang’s desire to create a “stable, forward-looking and far-reaching plan” for bilateral ties with Moscow, and to faithfully implement the agreements between it and Russian dictator Vladimir Putin reached at a meeting last month.
At the same time, there is no information about the possible timing of Putin’s visit to Pyongyang, whose agreement to Kim’s proposal to visit North Korea has led to speculation about a likely visit to the DPRK in the near future.
Although Pyongyang and Moscow have denied the agreement, suspicions were heightened when Britain’s Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) released dozens of commercial satellite images on Monday that clearly showed two Russian ships on numerous voyages between Russia and North Korea. Since August, several hundred containers have been transported to and from a port in North Korea to Russia.
