The intensity of Russian attacks in the Avdeevka area has decreased. Judging by the erection of the Ukrainian General Staff as of Wednesday morning, the intensity of Russian attacks in the Avdeevka area has noticeably decreased in the last 24 hours, but remained the same in two other sectors of the eastern front: in the areas of Kupyansk and Maryinka.

According to the information, over the past 24 hours the Russians have attacked Ukrainian positions in and around Avdiivka only five times.
Before this, from October 10, when the Russians launched an offensive in the Avdeevka area, until the day before yesterday, the Ukrainian General Staff reported 15 or more attacks per day. Yesterday there were ten of them.
At the same time, in the north, near Kupyansk, and southwest of Donetsk, in the Marinka area, the frequency of Russian attacks, judging by the construction, has not decreased: more than 15 and more than 20 per day, respectively. All attacks, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, were repelled.
The American Institute for the Study of War (ISW) writes in its latest report that the appearance in the Ukrainian army of American ATACMS tactical missiles with a range of up to 165 kilometers may force the Russian command to disperse and move further front-line aviation, which will affect its effectiveness.
The Russian army has consistently demonstrated that it can adapt to Ukraine’s new strike weapons—but only after suffering the first serious losses from these weapons, for which the Russian command actually had to prepare, the authors of the information write.
According to ISW analysts, moving front-line aviation further from the front will likely temporarily reduce its ability to support defensive and local offensive operations, especially with helicopters.
ISW recalls that Russian helicopters that hit enemy armored vehicles played an important role in containing the Ukrainian offensive on the southern front this summer.
